You clearly don't live near Detroit or any other area where violent crime rates are about to go through the roof. A shotgun, pistol, and a CPL (Concealed Pistol Licence) are, from a practical standpoint, not optional. Have a gun pointed at you and you might feel differently. It's a very unpleasant feeling.

And bottled water? Who stores that? Unless you live in the desert all you need is a few dollars of bleach and the knowledge of how to use it correctly.
