But suppose the Court holds that Justice Benjamin had a constitutional obligation of recusal. What would the standard be, exactly? $50,000? $1,000? $100?

And whatever the standard, can you imagine a situation where someone starts campaigning for (or perhaps even against because that might lead to bias as well) as judge in order to force the judge to recuse himself?

A campaign contribution could be returned as soon as its realized who its from. A independent expenditure can't.
