i agree with you...i see no reason to load <g> up on ammo unless you are an avid sport shooter, then, you might want to stock up....what i found interesting is that the stores here had supply but if you go to the manufacturer web page and look up the same model, THEY are out of stock...that simply tells me the end sellers bought excess inventory in anticipation of the demand

. They did an interview with the police chief last year and he was blabbing about how our increase in crime (mostly petty stuff) is a direct result of our economy, and he predicted it would continue to increase.

that is so right on.....what i find remarkable as i have watched this debt implosion unwind is that people (analysts) really didn't comprehend what was already happening 'on the ground'...i'll take my anecdotal local evidence over the majority of WS analytical reports any day....i was predicting the softening consumer based on demographics and ill-preparedness for retirement LONG before the contraction started, and this was before the bubble implosion was even factored in...

when people are broke, they cheat and steal.....who would have ever imagined!
