Alex, Everyone - I am going to be on the road this week, but when I get back, I will contact Jill to see about revising the threads' header to clarify its purpose, and specifically, to address the preferred contextual limits of discussing mining stocks. I'd like to spare all of the excellent contributors here from the necessity of periodically revisiting this issue for the benefit of those good folks who have arrived more recently .
Certainly, posts such as Greg's, (#2439), mentioning the hedging activities of some major producers, are well within context. But as you have mentioned, I think that most threaders, myself included, would prefer that we not digress upon the merits or demerits of individual mining issues, particularly the juniors. I don't know about everyone else, but I certainly get my fill of those elsewhere on these threads. I'd prefer that this thread remain a healthy diversion from those discussions.
As I am not an active contributor here, but rather, a beneficiary of the excellent work of others, I would like to consider everyones input prior to contacting the webmistress. Please feel free to email me in the coming week, if you are so inclined. Thanks again, all of you.
