Mike-- Is this the sort of explanation of CDMA you are looking for? exchange2000.com And with this under your belt it will perhaps become clear why two or three satellites breaming down the same message (same code) will increase the signal to noise ratio, and seamlessly, automatically tend to deal with stuff like obstructions, that temporarily block one bird or the other.
