i had to search the net to get the news elaborations in the previous post. my contension is that they were not brought up by the broadcasters, who let this "headline" fly in the face of investors without the details all day and the market was hounded by this. (oct 24th)
i regret to say the broadcasting source was CNBC, because it's a program i enjoy which devotes the entire day to stock market related events. in other words - non stop news -
to top it off, upon market closing, they wrapped up the hour "gold bashing". the subject title was: "Bre-x the greatest gold scandal in history" the contense included the dangers of investing in small canadian mining companies, how Walsh and his wife sold 109 million in bre-x stock before the bad news was released to the public. and how 7 of the 10 canadian provinces do not provide the framework for such a suit as the present one against walsh to take place. they ended by saying: "the remaining provinces appear dissinterrested in making necessary changes to protect investors."
i'm not just complaining. my reason for making these statements is not to have you think cnbc's methods are shamefull, but to impart another thought.
broadcasters are an extension "the powers that be", taking direction from them. the "queer" broadcasting style is naturally manipulative in the interest of preserving the status quo, or stability.
broadcasting in the manner i've mentioned indicates to me they're trying to hold back an investment shift into gold related markets and specifically into the smaller canadian mining companies they took the trouble to "caution against."
they may continue to succeded for a while, but i beleive the truth will out and canadian mining companies will be getting a celebrity status from us apple knockers.
just letting you know that from where i sit, something's in the fire. the words that i hear tell me the "powers that be" are struggeling. when change comes, i expect it to appear, more or less, a suprise. -in magnitude equal to how hard they're trying to keep it from happening.
