The real problems are myriad and appear by most mainly to be the result of lax regulation and greed. The Bush administration's policies and attitudes led to much of this, but led to many but not all of the pre-conditions to the crash.

Its the strong nature of Rs never to admit to screwing up. You'll never see them make such an admission nor ever see them criticize one of their leaders.....with maybe the sole exception of Steele who after all is black.......and not really an R.
