Interesting comment. What if their stated logic is simply flawed. They are not fools because they disagree. They are fools when they state positions that are simply wrong. I believe the left simply believes wealth is something to be harvested and that their policies need only be structured to do the harvesting. They believe the mistake is in not harvesting. They have no fear that bad policy will destroy wealth and thereby the harvest as well. Such belief is the belief of fools.
