yes, there is looting of the treasury going on. I won't deny that. However, over the last 3 decades, the gap between rich and poor has increased dramatically. The rate of increase of the gap accelerated during the Bush Admin. That gap is representative of the destruction of the American Dream.

So really redistribution of wealth in this country is nothing new. For the last 3 decades wealth has been redistributed from the 99% of Americans to the top 1%. Now Obama is going to try to reverse that trend. That's going to make the top 1% howl. And that top 1% has the resources to make their voice heard 10 times as loud as the other 99%. We're hearing it now.

However, I think the American people have woken up to a certain extent and realized that a country that funnels the majority of its resources to the top 1% and hopes that it trickles down to the other 99% is not one where the American Dream can live for long. I for one am glad that the Bush policies are coming to an end. We need a fairer tax structure and Obama will help us get it.

We need balance in all things. I believe the tax structure of the 1990s were just right to balance economic prosperity and government budgets. Obama will get us back to that tax structure and the country will be better off for it.
