SUNCOR SELECTS UNITED FOR SECURITY SERVICES; THREE-YEAR CONTRACT VALUED AT $500,000 United Protection Security Group Inc. has been awarded a multiyear contract with Suncor Energy Inc. of Edmonton, Alta. The contract requirements are for the provision of stationary and mobile security services for one of Suncor's Edmonton facilities. The contract is for a three-year period and is valued at approximately $500,000. "We are extremely pleased to have been selected by Suncor as their security service provider for their Edmonton facility," noted Sig Jorstad, chairman, president and chief executive officer. "This contract win is a testament to the strength, commitment and quality of service provided by our employees to our clients." The contract award demonstrates that the company continues to be in a strong growth position and is being recognized by major oil companies as a quality supplier of security services. The company continues to have a strong focus on industrial and construction projects in Northern Alberta where it believes the economy remains steady.
