Re: "Sen. McCain introduced legislation to give Obama the power of Line Item Vetoes on legislation today."

ACTUALLY the legislation gives *all American Presidents* Line-Item Veto authority (the better to eliminate earmarks that both the President and McCain have denounced.)

So... the question is:

Do YOU think that a Line -Item Veto is a *good power* for Presidents to have, a HELPFUL WAY to get government over-spending under control?

(Or are you opposed to it now simply for *partisan* reasons? In other words: 'it would be a good power for *your* favored Presidents to have... but not for any Presidents whom you politically disagree with?)

Which, I suppose, gets down to the nitty-gritty: do you support a Line-Item Veto to help bring federal deficit spending under control (as *I do*)... regardless of whichever Party is sitting in the White House... or do you care more about the partisan politics aspects of it, (and less about the nation's deficits)?
