Wrong, Vi. There will always be Québecois who want their own nation. That will never change. But the people of Quebec, like other Canadians, are tired of the debate for the time being, at least. There's no popular will for another referendum, and no surge of independence. The Parti Québecois actually sits in parliament as a member of the Loyal Opposition, and recently tried to form a coalition with the Liberal and NDP parties. How "separatist" is that? Not to mention nutty -g- "The Loon is in the 70-s again" Been there before. Most Canadians understand that if there is a recovery, it will be led by commodity-rich nations like Canada. Eventual USD decline should see USD/CAD parity within a few years, if not sooner. "Prepare to accept a few more States." No thanks. Canada doesn't want 'em. -g- We'd rather have friends, across a border. Jim
