I don't like referring to Rush or Palin or Hitler as populists. Rush does not push the help of the poor, or the 95% who are not the 'wealthy'. neither did Palin. nor Hitler. A populist takes on the powers that be to lift up the masses. Not to lift up the racists. Palin supports the rich, as did Hitler. As does Rush. They are/were not populists. Mother Jones was a populist.
