Perhaps I should have qualified my comments on media with:
the general spin tone or the emphasis on the bad along with the good in passing. In other circumstances it can be quite the opposite, all good and the bad news is not deemed to be of interest. A special note for CBC Radio who have expanded coverage of markets to catch all the misery they can. In the past their coverage of market news was less than cursory and certainly one cannot miss the contemptible tone for all things "business" based on their standard programming.

In general, do you not find much of the business news commentary is filler that directly contradicts itself repeatedly? EG: one day the market is down and the causal event is " fill in the blank". Next time you hear that same causal explanation it is in relation to why the market is up, a direct opposite explanation. That is my impression, truly unscientific as it is.

Cheers,
Ogi
