That new eras do take decades is the gist of my posts to you. You'd never know you realize this by most of your posts though.

An energy change over in the auto industry is going to take decades and that will feel incremental.

Indeed. So what is with the manic we've got to get-off-oil mantra which implies we can and should and will do it pronto if we just want to enough.

(The above doesn't mention that get-off-oil-so-middle-easterners-won't-have-enough-money-to-attack-us means getting off natural gas, plastics, synthetic fibers, and all petro-chemicals too. Feel like I should mention this everytime the subject is brought up.)
