i credit you for speaking strongly about this; definitely on techs since 2003, maybe even earlier but i no longer remember.... stanford (not the school) and madoff are just 2 of the high profiles, there are far too many others we don't hear about. statistics show that 1 out of every 100 americans are in jail. i venture to say that if all wall street crooks and tax cheats are caught, that would be more like 1 in 50. obama's idea of no charitable contributions and mortgage interest deductions may not be a bad idea. in fact, obama should talk to forbes and get some flat tax legislation in place. the more loop holes, the bigger the rats moving through them. paul
