Every product has a life cycle, and Rush's show does, too.

But there is NOTHING that would indicate it is "cresting". Hell, Obama is a GODSEND to Limbaugh.

I can remember in '92, when Limbaugh was a relative newcomer, the view was that Clinton's election would be the end of him. "Now you don't have a Republican in the WH, so what will you talk about?". Well, he prospered insanely during the Clinton years.

You were most right in your first statement. Every product has a shelf life. Limbaugh has been around a long time.....he has to keep raising the bar to be relevant among his constitutency. Now he's sounding treasonous.....wishing the president [and the country] failure. Those are pretty desperate comments.....that's why he masks them with bravado and arrogance. If a heart attack doesn't get him, public sentiment will.
