The bust was loaned to Bush by Blair as a token of solidarity.
From what I read, it was rather unceremoniously removed from the Oval Office and sent back to the Brits via its U.S. Ambassador.

I can understand a President making his own mark on the Oval Office. That's expected. But why not return the bust in a more diplomatic fashion, if bent on returning it at all.

The level of thoughtlessness displayed by the Obamas is a bit stunning. They seem more interested in parties and perqs than
learning to behave in an appropriate fashion.
