Hopes the Bears would finally take a week off from their gorging were dashed again. At Friday's close the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -17.67% CYTD, or "Contest Year To Date" (vs. down -12.33% CYTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Biotech Index did no better, closing down -13.86% CYTD (vs. down -9.25% CYTD a week ago) and our woebegone Contest median closed down -19.48% CYTD (vs. down -14.49% CYTD a week ago).
Despite a losing week, RKRW's portfolio held on to first place, with GHMM's portfolio remaining number two. The CYTD percentages were: RKRW down -3.72% and GHMM down -4.84%.
At Friday's close, not a single one of the 32 Contest portfolios was in the black but 8 of the 32 were beating the NBI.
Don't let the Bears spoil your weekend folks!
