It was RONALD REAGAN who argued that Congress was the deficit problem because it kept passing bloated spending bills!

And the sainted Reagan... and the first Bush, and the second Bush also called LOUDLY for the President to have Line Item Veto authority -- arguing that it would *greatly help* to get bloated federal wasteful spending under control.

Are YOU calling Reagan a 'big fat Liberal'?

Not on THIS proposed law they haven't.

They over-turned the last one... but this one was written to avoid the constitutional problems that the Court had with the last version.

(The courts would be asked to rule though, I'm sure....)
