I'll tell you why the urgency. We've been saying we need to get off the oil for three decades and yet we never did a damn thing to take it seriously. The moment is now to take it seriously. The technology has finally arrived to make it possible and we have a frenzy of global climate change activists that are providing plenty of momentum to make it happen. That's mostly why I side with the GW alarmists. I see them as a means to the ends I'm looking for. Freedom from oil is freedom from Middle East, Russian, and Venezuelan despots. Freedom from oil will free our foreign policy and economy from dependence on the whims of crazy people who hate us and want to see the end of our way of life. It's a no-brainer.
