SB,

I've been disturbed for more than a decade. I still hold a job. I haven't given up. You can't give up.

Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

So, it is a matter of choosing the best option from a range of less than perfect choices. For me that means physical gold with some miners.

If someone has a better idea (and it ain't long treasuries anymore), and they can support their position with logic, I'm all ears.

At the end, we convert to treasuries and lock in 10 year or longer at 8%. I do not think we reach Volker levels again, but rates will move up over the next 5 years.

Or maybe not if the Chinese get real clever and only agree to fund treasuries denominated in something other than dollars (and I don't know what that might be just yet).
