Thanks.. this makes sense; the reversal in the dollar very recently would foretell a hefty market bounce; but perhaps also the end of dollar buying and that could really work out if and when massive dollar printing comes.

It is not only the FDIC.... it is printing billions into the AIG black hole which clearly prevents further contraction, as the AIG counterparties are paid off in the process and receive lot of cash which they clearly didn´t in case of a AIG meltdown.

What irks me is that the AIG counterparties stand to receive full payment of their claims...which creates, given the puny market value of their insured products outsized gains.
