Only Republicans think the market is purely responding to Obama's spending plans. The market is taking into account every variable out there, including the collapse of almost every economic statistic. I'd say that contrary to your beliefs, if the market wasn't taking into account Obama's spending plans, we'd be sitting on DOW 4,000 right now. Obama's spending plans are the only thing propping this beast up right now. That's what modern economic theory tells us.
