i haven't been able to get gorgonzola in my regular store for weeks now (and yes the imported cheese display was notably empty...instead of stacking the cheeses front to back, they had the cheese there displayed 'horizontally' to make the cooler look full)

i think the probable explanation is that stores are cutting their available inventory of perishable items, especially the gourmet, expensive lines....i also noted there was a smaller selection of the fresh store baked breads
