Gee, Del, raising chickens is just what I was planning to do!!! Not to eat them, of course, but to sell organic eggs at a local produce market or something. Of course, I will wear an old flowered dress and a very funny hat!!!
So here's a house I don't think you would find much wrong with. It looks quite sturdy, if plain, and seems to be in good condition. The thing I like about it most, of course, is that it is on an island accessible only by ferryboat!!! That's the kind of island I lived on before, and found it wonderfully peaceful.

Yes, I know full well that AOL sucks!!! Unfortunately, it had investment research that absolutely no other ISP offers. Now that they have reconfigured things, I cannot really find it easily anymore, though. For $19.95 a month, I think it provides very good counterpoint to the research at SI, though, so I hope they get their mess straightened out. Unfortunately, since I cannot find a way to email them and complain, how will they know they screwed up?? It all reminds me of the Russian government when the Communists were running it--very inefficient.
I always patronize local merchants when I can. I think I told you about the chain drugstore that was opening a store on Haight Street. It was burned to the ground!!! Now almost everyone is shunning a BurgerKing that opened in a quaint neighborhood near here. The guy in the apartment above the store has a big banner hanging, expressing his negative feelings very explicitly.
Do you have an interesting news bulletin about your former hotel maid who is having the romance with the guy she met on the net?? I am curious as to how things are working out!!!!! |
