Three Penny Opera. Memories. Also, one of my favorites. I also saw it in the early 60s in the Village. One of my favorite recordings is Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong singing Mac the Knife.

I saw some Pirandello during that period, most likely that one but it made no serious impression on me.

Talking of NYC in heavy snowstorms reminds me of either the winter of 77 or 78, my wife and I were in the city for a few days, kids were with grandparents in Illinois, and we wandered through the snow one night, stumbled on the movie Julia, the Lillian Hellman bit that's not clear as to its accuracy, with Jane Fonda and Vanessa Redgrave. Great movie.

Surprises like that are sometimes the best surprises.
