That is why TCF, a local banking group is sending their TARP money back. They didn't want it in the first place but were pressured into taking the funds and then the government starts mandating to them. So now they've applied to return the money but aren't even sure the government will allow them to return money they never wanted.

Tell me we live in a free market society.
