Since an economy is all about confidence I've been saying for several weeks now, it's decidedly not helpful to have your leader being the town crier in chief. He is supposed to be soothing people not constantly screaming the sky is falling.

But the bigger problem is this, the banking crisis. And the bigger problem then that is his handling of the banking crisis. He isn't. He talks of health care and of 20 jobs his trillions saved in Ohio and nationalized health care and cap and trade and refuses to not only stop talking about stupid shit that you just can't implement in this economy unless you want a depression, but he is not nor is his tax dodger in chief addressing the banking crisis.

We are rudderless and the market sees that and reacts in quite a predictable manner.
