Economies around the world are slowing down and you wonder if inflation or deflation is our worst enemy. With either the stock makket will contract. With currency collapses around the world our inflation rate should remain very subdued so I just can't see GREENIE raising rates and placing added pressure on deflationary forces around the globe. I saw the other day that China was selling 30 year bonds at only about 100 basis points higher than Treasuries. That is incredible to me. Basically, all this makes me very bullish on the stock market with our greatest risk being deflation not inflation, yep I'm like you, we sure could repeat 29, look at our budget deficits, almost nil., looks like the one thing saving us are increases in productivity, without that we would have no increasing profits or increasing stock market, that is why I personally will place my future on tech stocks and healthcare, (healthcare obviously because of different reasons)..gregor
