It's such a shame, too. To my ears, DSD SACD recordings are close to being perfect. They don't have the harshness of Redbook standard 48KHz, 16-bit digital, and there is absolutely no noise.

But there just isn't enough of a market for the product to motivate studios to buy expensive DSD gear for recording and mixing. Most people are happy with 128kpbs MP3, so what are you going to do?
