A person can make 25-30K by staying at home (in some states, 36K) and watching Oprah. And they may make less by going to work at a min. wage job. So, the incentive is NOT to work, and to stay home watching Oprah.

A person may be able to "make" $25k on unemployment in some states, but those states are also high cost states. Long term you can't make ends meet on unemployment, regardless of the state. Do you propose that people get no unemployment at all. That they just be thrown into homelessness?

And they may make less by going to work at a min. wage job.

Right, we should raise the minimum wage. It's ridiculous that unemployment can, in very rare circumstances, be higher. Don't you agree? It's unimaginable what we pay people for full-time work in this supposedly wealthy country.

What's your income?
