You write: "I've never run into a formula yet that I couldn't write in WOW." Tushar Chande's Variable Index Dynamic Average (VIDYA). You just ran into one -- or at least one was tossed in your path. WOW can't do variable moving averages, which are more sensitive to volatility. Don't get me wrong -- I'm a WOW user and abuser (an addict, in fact, and one who takes full advantage of the needle-exchange program on SI) -- but it can't do everything. The ideal thing would be to have MS and WOW, and perhaps Advanced Get, as Jeff Grover said in a recent note on the "Beginners" thread. Brooke
