How do the charts know where we're going? Oversold market should be bot. It's still a traders market, but the shorts have ruled the day. The potential to go lower is always there but I think we'll finally see the bottom in the next qtr. Small caps should outperform. How can you not buy cheap blue chips? Steep 40MA, so it may be a little while for the recovery? Price cross 3ma today.
Cold weather and high winds effected my first Bassmaster Open on Toledo Bend. I had a couple of good areas to fish and had a small bag on day 1, no big bites, day2 I made a strategic mistake and moved from my proven water to a new area I didn't fish in practice hoping to find bigger fish. The gamble didn't pay off! I returned to my #2 area but didn't find the fish until the last 10 mins and had a nice 5lber come unhooked. I was bummed on that as I only had caught one 3lb fish in that other area. That small bag ruined my standings! It was great to compete against Rick Clunn, Mike McClellan , Edwin Evers...and half of the Elite Series anglers etc. I'll do better on Sam Rayburn in August?
I returned to my area and those fish the next day fishing a small ABA Fishing Tour event with 30 boats and placed second and won big bass 6.42 I needed that bag the day before?<g> I learned my lesson, it was a huge mistake but I've noticed factoring the wind appears to effect my judgement the most. I missed 1st place by 6ozs, I had a local angler move in on my spot and catch the 5lb male before I caught my big female, I had them spotted earlier but the fish bite didn't turn on until the water warmed up. I'm returning to Sam Rayburn again on Thur. to fish another Bassmaster Weekend Series. The weather shouldn't be a factor except for the winds and the lake is still -6' low unless it starts raining now then it needs to stabilize a few days for fish to be where they should be. The spawn finally started and the fish finally moved up on the beds after it warmed a few days. I almost froze to death earlier in the week, the 20mph -30mph winds didn't help!
I got a really cool trophy for this fish and some money, I've been trying to win that bigbass trophy in Texas for a year!<g> |
