No, I hadn't seen that article, but alot of what it says is true.

What's interesting to me is that the folks on this thread who are most vociferous in the defense of the GOP are most probably also feeling the pain precisely because of GOP policies. My parents are in that camp.

What exactly do they find so objectionable about providing a better life for 99% of Americans? And an even more important question is why would we want an economy that grows faster and gets even larger than it is today, if 99% of that new wealth goes to the top 1%? And I'd better not hear that it'll trickle down, because 30 years of testing that theory has proven it absolutely false. What good does all that effort do if it isn't more equitably distributed?

Redistribution of wealth has been occurring alright. It's been redistributed from the 99% of us to the top 1%. It's time to rebalance the equation to revive the American Dream.
