There's no easy way out of where we are, with economists and "experts" lined up on both sides. So I have no expectation of knowing what's really needed or what's actually going to happen.
That's probably true of 99.9 of the population.

As long as Rep admit they bear half the burden, and Dems accept their part of the blame, fine. They all screwed up.

Whether the stimulus stimulates remains to be seen. I don't think it's going to just happen overnight, even if it does happen. But again, I know nothing. And I don't think it's that obvious "on the face" or you wouldn't see such a divide among even the experts.

Yeah, I agree about the tax cheats, although I think those are found on both sides and no one really knows it until an investigation- and the climate is such now that people are really being investigated much more in depth. What bugged me was that after it was known, there was the peculiar reasoning put forth that someone was just so qualified and the best blah blah, that his transgressions could be, SHOULD be overlooked.
What garbage.
