I agree wholeheartedly - throw'em all to the wolves...the simple fact of the matter is - many, many of the banks are already INSOLVENT - being helf up only by inflating the worth of their toxic assets...nobody wants to acknowledge or talk abt this yet - C would have been filing Chap 11 now if not for that - as would AIG and FNM and FRE - soon BAC and others - WFC is hugely exposed as well - the problem is that we do not know how much and how deep this goes - but with $11T sucked out of the market in the past 6 months, do you think a measly $750B is gonna help - esp. when spread out over the banks, insurers, auto makers, etc. - it's like peeing on a forest fire - something/someone's gonna get burned - and, in this case it's the world economy.
