I heard Rudolph Guiliani on Fox Business the other night talking about what Obama has done right and wrong in this economic downturn. All I can say, is thank God Guiliani is not our President. He said Obama should have cut spending immediately when he entered office like he did in NYC. That is what you do according to Guiliani in an economic contraction (say what? he got that entirely wrong). Guiliani knows nothing of how to run a national economy in a major recession.

The icing on the cake was when Guiliani said FDR made the recession of the 1930s into a depression with his New Deal spending policies. What a bafoon! First off, what he stated is entirely wrong and impossible, because FDR came to office in 1933, almost four years into the Great Depression. The worst years by far were duing Herbert Hoover, with a huge contraction in GDP from 1929 to 1933. A look at any economic numbers from that era clearly show a steady improvement once FDR took office and implemented the New Deal.

Guiliani ignorance is exactly why we need to keep Republicans out of the Presidency.
