Mike, sorry to reveal my rather "seat-of-the pants" approach to
research (no big surprise, I'm sure!), but: what's you're approach
to getting P/E data on international markets; are there any useful
sites, either for various countries or country-specific? I certainly
don't have the knowledge to make inter-country comparisons, since I'm
sure accounting standards and customs vary widely. But a historical
approach seems pretty valid... any good sources of historical data
on P/E's or other valuation measures for various international
markets. Now I pick up tidbits from press sources like the Economist,
news articles, even CEF quarterly reports,
etc... but it's rather haphazard.
