Interesting points.

In the previous Motely Fool Audio Update Report, INFRASTRUCTURE said that chip makers need to keep pushing ahead or they loose ground, making it very difficult to catch up.

Could this slow down(?) be the beginning of the end like fall of 1996? Are chip makers going to post-pone orders?

1995 had incredible growth that created artificial orders and inflated the BTB #'s. 1996 was the burp or catchup period. Are we going to see that again or is low priced computer sales going to spur a buying frenzy? (I just upgraded to a new motherboard and 200Mhz MXX for $390)

At any rate, CYMER is cutting edge and that's the area that developers can't ignore or push-out. CYMER is the company that INFRASTRUCTURE was referring to when they said chip makers can't slow down or they'll lose out (indirectly and in my eyes of course).

If the tech stocks go down, it won't allow CYMER to move up. I do believe that CYMER will hold it's ground fairly well though. This would be a blessing because it allow us to accumulate more while we wait for the industry to straighten out. Either way...

Aloha
