Apparently, in the entertainment and sports worlds, players and entertainers were able to get banks to loan them money in advance of their future earnings. With the economic crisis, that's all changed, and suddenly, we are hearing about entertainers and players one after the other filing BK.

Sports could be in trouble. Any sport that relies on sponsors, especially golf (with lots of financial sponsors).

How's this for the ultimate Republican idea. I often thought it would be an interesting market to invest in genius kids. Or sports phenoms. Buy a share and get 1% of future earnings. In the meantime he/she gets the best of every educational possibility.

Of course I would end up investing in somebody that ended up wanting to be a guru in India or something. And probably feel good about it.
