Coal may have economic concerns (marginal)

It only produces around half our electricity. Marginal. Miners, mining equipment and supply businesses, railway workers, power plant workers. A cheap source of electricity throughout most of the nation. Marginal. Ha ha.

Marginal in that over time it can be replaced with other electric generation including nuke, gas, solar and wind which are 'marginally' more expensive.

but on a national security basis it would be replaced with other domestic energy so no national security concerns.

On a national security basis it is 100% domestic. Doesn't get more secure than that.

And so are the replacements, non-issue.

Finally, the truth. You're against coal for AGW reasons. Why not just tell the truth to begin with.

Never mind.... linear thinking is a right wingnut mental handicap.
