Lisa,
Male here... ~l~ And thanks alot for the TBR article, it looks like they are VERY unsettled as to the break up, and I was unaware that it was into 13 companies. And from the look of it, the break up is mid 1998 so my Jan call wont be applicable.. It it a longer shot, but what the **** The Zena pic is what I referred to. Is that true to form??? :}
My Scholes tool is on the Etrade acct I am using, it really is a great tool, it tells 2 things, price analysis AND % movement in call value for point to point stock movement, including comissions.
eg... A IBM 105 call purchased when the stock was 98. A 1.00 move in the stock equated to a 15% increase in the option price, including the comissions. Based on this tool I did not purchase DELL or TXN calls, the movement was a mere 5-6% for in the money calls... PLUS both calls were overvalued based on his formula...
I used it to buy TBR, I also used it to buy HMTT which has done well and I tried to use it on IBM (which was supposedly undervalued by 1/2 per contract on the 105 call) and CPQ (it was valued at market) INTC also looked overvalued..
As I mentioned, I think the reasons for over/under might be due to demand flow for the call.... you know we small timers need all the help we can get.. ~vbg~ I cant afford to jump on a heavily weighted ship.... Back when you were all jumping on Dell(last month???) the calls were ALL over valued... interesting....
If anyone wants data for a call, please message me I can pull it up for you. It must be good, the guy won THE prize... ~L~
Regards...
