What wasteful administration? Also, the reason unions negotiate tenure is because they know they can't get a higher salary floor. If they can, that changes. >It might also help to actually enforce standards of behavior in the classroom. Too many kids are allowed to be disruptive in class. They won't be kicked out because the school board wants to keep the dropout rate from going higher than it already is. At least that's true for LA County, which is kind of representative of all the problems with every school district in America combined. What would you do? Kick troublesome kids out of school? -Z
