When it comes to the bailout and stimulus issues, I haven't heard any coherent alternative offered to do nothing, let banks and other companies collapse if they will and wait for the system to heal itself somehow.

Since that's a recipe for a guaranteed Depression, it is not going over so well with voters outside the Beltway pundits.
