Possible bad choice of words, as my words seem to imply they meant to. That said, they're clearly using the same tactics.

Re, woman chosing abortion:

"Murder" is defined by law. Calling a woman who decides to terminate her pregnancy a "murderer" is fallacious, incendiary, and, when coming from a Bishop of priest amounts to a profound spiritual abuse. Incredibly the church claims to want to help woman go through the process of post abortion soul searching. They back a couple groups here in that capacity which I used to donate to untill I heard first hand some of their "helpful" talks they gave.

OTOH, "sin and guilt" has been a mainstay of the Catholic Church for hundreds of years.
