Banks and insurance companies need to be watched, because when they screw up, everybody has to pay.

We might need less regulation of a local hamburger stand.
Even if they start selling burger default swaps.

The SEC is all over people for supposed insider trading (Mark Cuban) and options backdating (about half the Nasdaq).
And they got that arch criminal, Martha Stewart.

Meanwhile, they can't touch Madoff, AIG, Golden West, the credit rating agencies, etc.
