"Which is why they would likely be higher without all this new government spending." Can you stop just making shit up for a single post? The markets are down because banking is doing awful. Inventories are growing and sales are off. These things are not happening because of the spending. In fact, without a lot of the spending, we would be facing global failure of the financial system. Which the market would take poorly. International trade has fallen by the largest percentage in 80 years. No one with any brains takes that as a good sign.
