Telos to Fill Seat on Open Compliance and Ethics Group’s Technology Council
Company Brings Expertise In Federal Government Compliance To Assist Commercial Organizations To Abide By Government-Type Regulations On The Horizon

ASHBURN, Va. & PHOENIX -- March 12, 2009
Open Compliance and Ethics Group (OCEG) has invited Telos^® Corporation to fill a seat on its prestigious Technology Council.
Additionally, Telos will participate on the Council’s Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC)- Extensible Markup Language (XML) Working Group and its IT for GRC Road Map Group. OCEG, a non-profit “think tank,” is widely recognized as the standards body for establishing best practices in the GRC space. OCEG is the provisional jurisdiction authorized to establish GRC-XML within the eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) organization.
“Telos has been well received for a long time in the government space,” said Ben Apple, director of Information Assurance Business Management at Telos. “Bringing our experience in dealing with the management of IT risk in the government market to bear on the GRC complexities of the commercial sector will benefit commercial organizations as they prepare for the eventuality of government-type compliance regulations.”
This is especially true for companies in the financial sector, which will likely see these types of regulations imposed more quickly due to the provisions of the Troubled Asset Relief Program.
“We are very pleased to have Telos Corporation as a member of the Technology Council,” said Carole Switzer, president of OCEG. “The company is one of the premier thought leaders in this space, and the experience it brings from the government sector will help advance best practices for GRC technology support in all organizations, regardless of the type of business they do,” he said. “We also look forward to working with Telos to expand use of the OCEG GRC Capability Model within the government sector.”
