Study after study has been released that asserts life expectancy as a metric for "good health care". And those have been shot down one after another by the simple truth, which is Americans live lifestyles that are totally at-odds with longevity. That's what we choose.

We eat deadly crap more than any other nation. We get less exercise. We drive more miles. We smoke. We drink. We use drugs. We raise kids in such a way that there is zero respect for human life. We have the fattest youth population ON EARTH.

We basically do everything thing more wrong than other cultures, then blame the best health care system in the world when it can't cure every problem.

You simply cannot arbitrarily pick a couple of factors and make sense of it.

Anyone who would suggest the Canadian health care system is anywhere near that in the US is just not informed. Hell, the guy who essentially invented Canada's socialized health care has said it is an abject failure. The same is true of the Brits and pretty much all the rest. And they would ALL be worse off if we weren't subsidizing them.
